A CRYSTAL COLLECTING, ART-MAKING PHOTOGRAPHER AND EDUCATOR IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA. EQUAL PARTS MORTICIA ADDAMS, BETTY BOOP, AND PEE-WEE HERMAN. PROBABLY EATING A GRILLED CHEESE.
I’m Becca! I'm an introverted extrovert who loves sassy sarcasm and my husband, Mr. B. You'll typically find me obsessing over my art supplies, organizing yet one more thing in my house, and teaching other photographers how to stand out from the crowd with their marketing!
I believe no one should ever have to wake before the sun, you can never wear too much black, and Fancy Grilled Cheese Fridays should be a world-wide practice.
If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box photographer that totally gets your alternative style and vibe, you found her and I’m so stoked to meet you!!!
Wears black 24/7
Once upon a time, I was a dental hygienist. No joke. Though I had a history with art and photography at a young age, I didn't start my career in art. I started it in health care. I went for what was safe instead of what I really wanted - a creative business of my very own.
After trying my best for many years to feel satisfied, I grew to regret my choices and dreamed of building my own business instead of investing in someone else's.
I started painting. Within 6 months of my first sale, I had my first and solo show. I was hooked and studied all I could about business so I could have the creative career of my dreams and leave dentistry behind forever. I even taught business and marketing to other creatives (and still do). But, there was a problem. The stress of my day job took over my ability to paint prolifically enough to free me from my career.
In 2017, I eloped with Mr. B in a castle on the coast of Florida. When I was searching for a photographer, the most noticeable thing was that they were nothing like me. They just didn't get my vibe and they definitely didn't get my aesthetic. It was then that I started seriously considering returning to photography so I could provide something that people like me wanted and needed: alternative photography.
in 2019 I unexpectedly had shoulder surgery, lost my father, broke my ankle (requiring a plate and 10 screws), broke my thumb, and lost my job. That year was the line in the sand that said I could never go back. I purchased my first "professional" camera since college, dove head first into courses and education, and launched Rock Your Rebellion in 2020 (Yep! Right as a world-wide pandemic broke out!). It's a business and brand that celebrates those who stand out, those being brave enough to be true to themselves, and those that don't buy into the idea they must do what everyone else is doing for it to be right.
I now have the privilege of my own creative career celebrating what makes each of us different in photographs and and I continue to teach other creatives how to stand out from the rest in their own marketing. Thank you for being here and for being part of my story!

A super talented DJ, graphic designer, and business owner who's almost as funny as me. He thinks he's funnier. Fun fact: Mr. B made the RYR logo!
I've been collecting crystals, rocks and geodes since I was two. Amythysts are my favorite!
Brie and berry on sourdough is my favorite!
I guess this makes sense since I married a DJ! Siouxsie and the Banshees is my favorite band!
I'm not a TV person, but this show is an exception. Parks and Rec comes at a close second. That's what she said.
I love things neat and clean. Being organized keeps my life in order. If I told you I alphabetize my spices, it wouldn't be a lie.
I love creating it and collecting it. I make mixed media pop surrealist paintings that look like they jumped out of a fairytale.
DOTERRA ESSENTIAL OILS
Does this make me a boho goth? I can't live without these. Even Mr. B has taken up diffusing his own mixes.
I love any opportunity to make food and drink art and craft cocktails are definitely that. My favorite drinks are margaritas, mojitos, and Moscow Mules (when made with ginger syrup).
I like making things pretty. Eclecticism is my favorite style and my favorite color combo is black, purple, and teal.
I have about 30. My oldest one has been in the family over 30 years.
I love getting away, even if it's just for a few days. I love that I live in a state where a tropical paradise is just a short drive away!
