The Ultimate Packing List for Wedding Day Detail Photos

One day, long after the celebration is over, you'll open your wedding album and the first thing you'll see are the details of your day. All the small elements that you both will use, wear, or carry with you as part of your wedding day will be captured with careful styling to truly show off their meaning and beauty. From flowers to cuff links, perfume bottles and vow books, these items will help to fully capture the mood and tell the story of your day in your wedding album!

As an Orlando, Florida wedding photographer, I always begin every wedding photographing the details! Detail shots can take some time to be properly styled and seeing as how they are the first to be seen in your wedding album, it's important to take some time to consider what to include in these photographs.

I typically like to bring accessories to really make a couple's details pop, like vintage trays, ring boxes, and silk ribbon. But, I always encourage my couples to bring any accessories that they feel would fit who they are best! My tip for extra elements is to make sure they're relatively small. Larger items will pull attention away from your small details, so choose items that won't be distracting!

Here's a list of items I recommend couples consider including. Have your chosen details ready to photograph at the start of your day. I also recommend bringing the majority of these items, plus other special touches that may be important to you, in a box for safekeeping and to keep things organized and in one place!
